No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill adds "disinfectant cleaning supplies" and "personal protective equipment" to the list of items subject to protection under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

According to the Office of Court Administration and the Office of the Attorney General, the cost to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

According to the Comptroller's Office the fiscal impact of the bill cannot be determined, as the number of cases of noncompliance that would result in penalty revenue is unknown.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
