IN RE:
HB2058 by Klick (Relating to age-appropriate normalcy activities for children in the managing conservatorship of the state.), As Engrossed
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code to require that a court must review at the permanency hearing the Department of Family and Protective Services efforts to ensure a child in conservatorship of the department has regular, ongoing opportunities to engage in age-appropriate normalcy activities, including those not listed in the child's service plans.
Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration and the Department of Family and Protective Services, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources. In addition, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
