IN RE:	HB2245 by Shine (Relating to notice to a property owner by an appraisal district of a change in the account number assigned to the property by the district for purposes of the appraisal records.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 25 of the Tax Code to require an appraisal district using a unique account number to identify a property in the appraisal records to provide notice to a property owner if the appraisal district changes the account number or assigns a new account number to identify all or part of the property. The notice must be included in the next notice of appraised value.

The bill would take effect January 1, 2022.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
