IN RE:
HB2528 by Minjarez (Relating to the contracting authority of the Health and Human Services Commission for the volunteer advocate for children program.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code to remove a provision for the Health and Human Services Commission to contract with one statewide organization that is also designated as a supporting organization under Section 509(a)(3) of the federal Internal Revenue Code.
The Health and Human Services Commission indicates any cost to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and could be absorbed within available resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
