The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the effect of certain reductions in a health benefit plan enrollee's out-of-pocket expenses for prescription drugs on enrollee cost-sharing requirements. Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance, Texas Emergency Services Retirement System, Employees Retirement System, Health and Human Services Commission, Texas A&M University System Administration, and UT System Administration, this analysis assumes that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
