HB2840 by Longoria (Relating to the inapplicability of state citrus fruit maturity standards to grapefruit and oranges processed for juice.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Agriculture Code to include grapefruit or oranges that are processed for juice to be exempted from state fruit maturity standards. Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Agriculture, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed with existing resources.
