No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Family Code Chapter 264 to require the Health and Human Services Commission to include measurable goals and objectives relating to the number of volunteer inactive advocates in a contract with a court-appointed volunteer advocate program. The bill would also require an entity that operates a volunteer advocate program to provide a grievance process and maintain an accurate record of certain individuals in order to be eligible for a contract.
The Office of Court Administration and the Health and Human Services Commission indicate any cost to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and could be absorbed within available resources.

According to the Texas Association of Counties, no significant fiscal impact to counties is anticipated.
