LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 19, 2021

TO:
Honorable Brian Birdwell, Chair, Senate Committee on Natural Resources & Economic Development

FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB4056 by Meza (Relating to the establishment of a committee to study the formation of a Texas Bicentennial Commission.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would establish a committee composed of 77 members to study and produce a report on the formation of a Texas Bicentennial Commission. The committee would receive administrative support provided by the General Land Office and the Texas Historical Commission.

This analysis assumes there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing the provisions for the bill that could be absorbed within current resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
