The bill would amend the Texas Government Code relating to the duty of the Office of the Attorney General to represent community supervision and corrections departments in certain habeas corpus proceedings.
It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed by the Office of the Attorney General using existing resources.
According to the Department of Criminal Justice, no fiscal impact is anticipated from the bill.
