No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code as it relates to the administration of psychotropic medication to certain persons in county jails. The bill would direct the Texas Commission on Jail Standards (TCJS) to adopt minimum jails standards related to the provision of prescription medications to certain persons in county jail facilities.

According to TCJS, the costs associated with the bill's provisions could be absorbed using existing resources.
