IN RE:	HB4661 by Thompson, Senfronia (relating to required sexual harassment prevention training for members of the legislature and lobbyists.), Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to require sexual harassment training for members of the Legislature and lobbyists. It would require lobbyists to file certain forms with the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC).

While the TEC indicates there would be a cost to the agency related to the mailing of notices of non-compliance to registered lobbyists, this analysis assumes those costs could be absorbed with existing agency resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
