No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Estates Code to allow for the transfer of the administration of an estate to a county where the executor or administrator of the estate resides, if no immediate family member of the decedent resides in the county where estate administration was initially filed. The bill would take effect September 1, 2021.
The Office of Court Administration anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the state court system as a result of the bill.
