SB600 by Perry (Relating to an inventory of dams controlled by river authorities.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Water Code to require each river authority to provide the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality with information as identified in the bill on the operation and maintenance of dams under the control of that river authority. River authorities are required to provide TCEQ with this information annually or in the event of a significant change. TCEQ is required to create and maintain a website containing information provided to the agency by the river authorities. 

Based on the analysis of the TCEQ, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed with existing resources.
