No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require that the University Interscholastic League ensure that students with intellectual disabilities have an opportunity to participate in team athletic activities by establishing and maintaining an inclusive sports program.
Based on information provided by The University of Texas at Austin, any costs associated with implementing provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
