Among its provisions, the bill would require that students receive instruction on the prevention of child abuse, family violence, and dating violence.
This analysis assumes that the bill's provisions could be implemented with existing resources.
Local Government Impact
According to the Texas Education Agency, there could be costs for local districts to implement the required essential knowledge and skills in healthy relationships education. The costs could include professional development training for teachers and developing or purchasing instructional materials and resources.
