IN RE:
SB1439 by Campbell (relating to required written consent of a physician, intern, or resident of an educational institution before directly or indirectly performing or participating in an elective abortion.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require a physician, intern or resident at an educational institution to affirmatively consent in writing before being scheduled or assigned to duties involving directly or indirectly performing or participating in an elective abortion procedure.
The University of Texas indicates any cost to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and could be absorbed within available resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
