IN RE:	SB1606 by Hall (Relating to protecting the population of Texas, its environment, and its most vulnerable communities, promoting the resilience of the electric grid and certain municipalities.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to updating the state's emergency plan and evaluating contractors for the purpose of assessing vulnerabilities in the ERCOT grid could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

While some municipalities may be face restrictions on their use of economic development incentives as a result of the bill's provisions, the fiscal implications of the bill on local units of government cannot be determined at this time.
