IN RE:
SB1941 by Gutierrez (Relating to the creation of a hyperemesis strategic plan.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to develop and implement a five-year strategic plan to improve diagnosis and public awareness of hyperemesis gravidarum. HHSC would be required to develop a new strategic plan no later than September 1 of the last fiscal year in each five-year period. HHSC would be required to coordinate and consult with the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the statewide health coordinating council in the development, update and review of the strategic plan.
DSHS indicates any cost to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and could be absorbed within available resources.
It is assumed any cost for HHSC to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and could be absorbed within available resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
