Pursuant to a notice posted on September 23, 2021, the House Committee on Corrections met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Murr, at 11:09 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Murr; Bailes; Burrows; Sherman, Sr.; Slaton; and White.

The Committee met to hear invited testimony on the following Texas-Mexico border charge: Review the existing and anticipated populations in state prisons located near the Texas-Mexico border.

At 1:41 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
