Pursuant to a notice posted on April 7, 2022, the House Committee on Criminal Justice Reform, Interim Study met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Leach, at 3:07 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Leach; Moody; Bowers; Buckley; Button; Cook; and Citizen Tolman, Brett.

 

A quorum was present.

The Committee met to hear invited testimony on criminal procedure and due process from initial detention through appeal, including the use of prosecutorial discretion.
