CORRECTED MINUTES

 

 

On May 18, 2021, the House Committee on Elections authorized the correction of the  minutes for the meeting of the House Committee on Elections held on May 7, 2021. The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:

 

Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 7, 2021, the House Committee on Elections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cain, at 1:53 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Cain; González, Jessica; Beckley; Bucy; Clardy; Fierro; Jetton; Schofield; and Swanson.

The chair laid out SB 1111.

 

Representative Swanson moved that Senate Bill 1111, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                           Representatives González, Jessica; Beckley; Bucy; Fierro (4).

The chair laid out SB 1116.

 

Representative Fierro moved that Senate Bill 1116, without amendments be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                           Representatives Beckley; Fierro (2).

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Schofield moved that SB 1509, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
