Pursuant to a notice posted on May 7, 2021, revised on May 12, 2021, and an announcement on

the House floor on May 12, 2021 to delay the convening time to 9:00 a.m., the House Committee on Higher Education met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Murphy, at 9:04 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Murphy; Pacheco; Cortez; Frullo; Muņoz, Jr.; Ortega; Parker; Turner, Chris; and Turner, John.

 

A quorum was present.

Representative Turner, John moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

Representative Turner, John moved that SB 1019, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
