Pursuant to a notice posted on April 7, 2021, the House Committee on Juvenile Justice & Family Issues met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Neave, at 9:52 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Neave; Swanson; Cook; Frank; Leach; Ramos; Talarico; and Wu.

The chair laid out HB 3009 as pending business.

 

Representative Wu offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Talarico moved that HB 3009, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
