Pursuant to a notice posted on May 21, 2021, the House Committee on Juvenile Justice & Family Issues met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Neave, at 12:40 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Neave; Swanson; Cook; Frank; Leach; and Ramos.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

SB 2011

 

The chair laid out SB 2011.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

The chair moved that SB 2011, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion failed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Neave; Swanson; Ramos (3).

 

Nays:                           Representatives Cook; Frank; Leach (3).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Talarico; Vasut; Wu (3).

 

SB 2190

 

The chair laid out SB 2190 as pending business.

 

SB 2190 was left pending without objection.

 

At 12:44 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
