CORRECTED MINUTES

 

 

On July 11, 2022, the House Committee on The Robb Elementary Shooting, Investigative authorized the correction of the  minutes for the meeting of the House Committee on The Robb Elementary Shooting, Investigative held on June 16, 2022. The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:

 

Pursuant to a notice posted on June 10, 2022, revised on June 13, 2022, the House Committee on The Robb Elementary Shooting, Investigative met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Burrows, at 10:02 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Burrows; Moody; and Justice Guzman, Eva.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The Chair, Vice-Chair and Justice all made opening remarks.

 

Vice-Chair Moody made the following motion:

 

Pursuant to House Rule 4, Section 13, I move to authorize the chair of the committee to act on behalf of the whole committee in conducting all discovery authorized by the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, including the designation of committee staff to assist in conducting that discovery, provided that this delegation of authority does not affect the ability of the committee, by majority vote, to exercise the same powers.

 

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Burrows; Moody; Justice Guzman, Eva (3)

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        None (0).

 

 

Without objection, the committee entered into executive session under Rule 4, Section 12, of the

House Rules of Procedure, at 10:10am.

 

The committee exited the executive session, and the Chair called the committee to order in open

session at 5:16 pm. No decisions were made or voted on during the executive session.

 

At 5:20 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until

8:00 a.m., June 17, 2022.

 

The following actions occurred on June 17, 2022:

 

The committee reconvened at 8:16 a.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative

Burrows.

 

The quorum call was answered as follows: Representative Burrows; and Justice

Guzman, Eva.

 

A quorum was present.

 

Without objection, the committee entered into executive session under Rule 4, Section 12, of the

House Rules of Procedure, at 8:16 a.m.  Before entering into executive session, the chair announced that the executive session would be conducted at Robb Elementary School.

 

(Representative Moody now present.)

 

Upon returning from the executive session conducted at Robb Elementary School, the committee exited the executive session, and the Chair called the committee to order in open

session at 9:45 a.m. No decisions were made or voted on during the executive session.

 

At 9:45 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
