Pursuant to a notice posted on September 30, 2021, the House Committee on Youth Health & Safety, Select met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Lozano, at 11:05 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Lozano; Johnson, Ann; Allison; Cook; Dutton; Frank; Klick; Leach; Morales, Eddie; Neave; and Rose.

A quorum was present.

The committee met in an organizational meeting to hear invited testimony on the interim charge “the impact of COVID-19 on the mental health needs of Texas youth and effective treatment strategies.”

Testimony taken/registration recorded.  (See attached witness list.)

At 3:19 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
