Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on State Affairs was held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, in the Capitol Extension Auditorium, E1.004.

The chair called the meeting to order at 11:16 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

At 11:22 AM Senator Birdwell assumed the chair.

 

The chair laid out SB 1 and recognized the author, Senator Hughes, to explain the bill.

 

Senator Hughes sent up Committee Amendment 1 and was recognized to explain the amendment. Committee Amendment 1 was left pending.

 

Senator Hughes sent up Committee Amendment 2 and was recognized to explain the amendment. Committee Amendment 2 was left pending.
