Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Redistricting, Special was held on Saturday, March 13, 2021, in the Senate Chamber.

Senator Nichols, as chair called the meeting to order at 9:05 AM. A quorum not being present, the following business was transacted:

 

The following members attended/participated via videoconference:

Dr. Lloyd Potter, Texas Demographer provided invited testimony.

 

At 9:46 AM Senator Huffman assumed the chair.

 

At 12:45 PM Senator Nichols assumed the chair.

 

At 1:15 PM Senator Huffman resumed the chair.

 

The following witnesses provided public testimony via videoconferencing (see attached witness

list).

 

The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

There being no further business, at 1:50 PM Senator Huffman moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
