Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Water, Agriculture & Rural Affairs was held on Monday, May 3, 2021, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 8:00 AM. There being a quorum present at 8:05 AM, the following business was transacted:

 The chair laid out SB 328 and recognized the author, Senator Lucio, to explain the bill.

The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

The chair moved that SB 328 be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

The chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 1008 and recognized the author, Senator Hinojosa, to explain the bill.

The chair laid out HB 1699 and recognized the Senate sponsor, Senator Buckingham, to explain the bill.
