The committee will meet to adopt rules, organize, and to consider the following:

SB 89          Menéndez               
Relating to supplemental information required for inclusion with a written statement of an individualized education program developed for certain public school students who received special education services during the 2019-2020 or 2020-2021 school year.

SB 178         Lucio                  
Relating to the employment of certified school counselors by school districts.

SB 179         Lucio                  
Relating to the use of public school counselors' work time.

SB 204         Schwertner             
Relating to the operation of a public school transportation system.

SB 338         Powell                 
Relating to the adoption of uniform general conditions for building construction contracts entered into by school districts and the composition of the committee that reviews uniform general conditions.

SB 442         Hughes                 
Relating to local school health advisory councils and health education provided by school districts, including requirements regarding human sexuality instruction.

Those wishing to give public testimony, please limit prepared remarks to 2

minutes. If submitting written testimony, please submit 30 copies, with

your name on each copy, to the Committee during the hearing.

To protect the health and safety of members, staff and the public, the

Senate Education Committee will strictly follow all Senate

rules relating to the pandemic, including the requirement for a negative

COVID-19 test to enter the hearing room.
