NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The committee will meet to consider pending business and the following:

Relating to restrictions on the age of persons employed by or allowed on the premises of a sexually oriented business; creating a criminal offense.

SB 1530        Huffman                
Relating to the operation and administration of and practice and procedure related to proceedings in the judicial branch of state government.

SCR 41         Springer | et al.       
Urging Congress to propose and submit to the states for ratification the "Keep Nine" amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

HB 390         Thompson, Senfronia | et al.  SP: Huffman
Relating to requirements for human trafficking awareness and prevention in commercial lodging establishments; authorizing a civil penalty.

HB 654         Lucio III | et al.       SP: Johnson
Relating to the rule against perpetuities.

HB 1428        Huberty                 SP: Huffman
Relating to procurement by a political subdivision of a contingent fee contract for legal services.

HB 1831        Rogers                  SP: Buckingham
Relating to annual continuing education requirements for certain court clerks.

Public testimony will be limited to 2 minutes. If submitting written

testimony, please provide 20 copies to the committee clerk with your name

and the bill number on each copy.

 

To protect the health and safety of members, staff and the public, the

Senate Jurisprudence Committee will strictly follow all Senate

rules relating to the pandemic, including the requirement for a negative

COVID-19 test to enter the hearing room.
