R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may help to comfort
  those saddened by the death of Andy Frank McPherson of New Boston on
  May 31, 2023, at the age of 89; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Loren and Bernice McPherson, Andy
  McPherson was born in Hooks on August 20, 1933; he grew up with the
  companionship of 13 siblings, Loren, John, Floyd, Loyd, William,
  Boyce, Jackie, Dorothy, Bessie, Edna, James, Jimmy, and Clara; and
         WHEREAS, A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. McPherson enjoyed a
  rewarding career with Red River Army Depot before his retirement; a
  man of faith, he was a valued congregant of Faith Baptist Church in
  New Boston; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. McPherson benefited from
  the love and support of his wife, the late Doris McPherson, and he
  took great pride in his sons, Keith and Larry McPherson, and in his
  daughter, Sherri Wagner, who preceded her father in death; over the
  years, he had the pleasure of welcoming into his family eight
  grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Andy McPherson lived a life that was rich in the
  intangibles that matter most, and he is deeply missed by all those
  who held him dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 1st
  Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Andy Frank
  McPherson and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his
  family: to his sons, Keith McPherson and his wife, Cindy, and Larry
  Wheeler McPherson; to his brothers, James G. McPherson and Jimmy E.
  McPherson; to his sister, Clara Howeth; to his grandchildren and
  great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Andy McPherson.
