R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal |
|
|
milestones, and Peter Thomas Scarborough participated in that |
|
|
joyful occasion with his graduation from Stephen F. Austin High |
|
|
School in Austin on May 30, 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although the members of the Class of 2023 will soon |
|
|
go their separate ways, the time that they have shared at Austin |
|
|
High has created a lasting bond, and the knowledge and experiences |
|
|
that Mr. Scarborough has gained there will forever enrich his life; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of John and Andrea Scarborough, Peter |
|
|
Scarborough was a member of the golf team at Austin High, and he |
|
|
received an academic all-state award; he further distinguished |
|
|
himself through his involvement with the National Honor Society and |
|
|
Link Crew; he plans to continue his education at the University of |
|
|
Richmond; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|
|
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join his family and |
|
|
friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with |
|
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 1st |
|
|
Called Session, hereby congratulate Peter Thomas Scarborough on the |
|
|
occasion of his high school graduation and extend to him sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Scarborough as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas Senate. |
