R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
of Teofilo Reyes Alonso of Robstown, who passed away on June 14, |
|
2023, at the age of 79; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Joaquin Alonso and Angelita Reyes, |
|
Teofilo Alonso was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico, on January 8, 1944; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Alonso worked for nearly three decades as a |
|
custodian with the Robstown Independent School District; in |
|
addition, he was a skilled welder and a member of Local Union 410; a |
|
man of strong faith, he served as a deacon at Primera Iglesia |
|
Southside Baptist Church for 15 years; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Alonso enjoyed the love |
|
and support of his wife of 55 years, Juana; he was the proud father |
|
of four children, Patricia, Rodolfo, Albert, and Vanessa, and with |
|
the passing years, he had the privilege of seeing his treasured |
|
family grow to include seven grandchildren, Albert "AJ", Priscilla, |
|
Brandon, Cameron, Matthew, Lexi, and Adriana; and |
|
WHEREAS, Deeply dedicated to his family, his faith, and his |
|
community, Teofilo Alonso earned the lasting respect and admiration |
|
of those who were fortunate enough to know him, and he will forever |
|
hold a treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory |
|
of Teofilo Reyes Alonso and extend sincere condolences to all who |
|
mourn his passing; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it so do in memory of Teofilo |
|
Alonso. |
