R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
  mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Robert and Cheree
  Stovall of Alba celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage
  on June 22, 2023; and
         WHEREAS, Robert Stovall and the former Cheree Shultz were
  both born and raised in Alba, where they graduated from Alba-Golden
  High School; they were joined in matrimony in 1973; and
         WHEREAS, After working for Tyler Pipe and Lilly Food Service,
  Mr. Stovall was called to vocational ministry work, serving as
  pastor of First Baptist Church Alba and Bright Star Baptist Church
  in Emory; he also joined the staff of Lifepointe Church in Golden,
  and he was chaplain of UTHealth East Texas until his retirement in
  2022; skillfully balancing family life with her own career,
  Mrs. Stovall worked as a seamstress and as a teacher's aide for the
  Alba-Golden Independent School District; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Stovall have long dedicated their
  efforts to volunteer work; together, they have led a faith-based
  ministry for military veterans, and they have presented "staffs of
  honor" to veterans and their families; additionally, Mrs. Stovall
  is known throughout the community for generously providing meals to
  her fellow residents; and
         WHEREAS, Over the years, Mr. and Mrs. Stovall have been
  blessed with a treasured family that includes their sons, Jeremy
  Stovall and his wife, Janet, and Jason Stovall and his wife, Mandi,
  and their grandchildren, Blake, Brayden, Allie, and Cade; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Stovall have enjoyed five decades of
  abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
  exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
  commitment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 2nd
  Called Session, hereby congratulate Robert and Cheree Stovall on
  their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
  wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  Senate.
