R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Sara-ann Groff has ably served her fellow Texans as
  district director in the office of State Representative John
  H. Bucy III; and
         WHEREAS, Hired in January 2019, Ms. Groff opened the district
  office in Cedar Park that September; she has earned the admiration
  and appreciation of her colleagues through her resourcefulness,
  initiative, compassion, and poise; throughout her exemplary
  tenure, she has provided essential support to Representative Bucy
  in pursuing his legislative agenda, conducting community outreach,
  and helping constituents; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Groff has answered tens of thousands of
  constituent communications, served as a liaison to various state
  agencies, and assisted more than 300 people with Texas Workforce
  Commission issues arising from the COVID-19 pandemic; in addition,
  she oversaw the HD 136 Food & Wellness Program, through which
  volunteers packed and delivered over 74,000 meals to the elderly
  and others in need, as well as a partnership with Hill Country
  Community Ministries for food delivery during the pandemic; and
         WHEREAS, Among numerous projects, Ms. Groff coordinated
  regular blood drives, an Adopt-a-Highway effort, the HD 136
  Community Advisory Boards, and Artist and Student of the Month
  programs; she conducted bill analysis and met with stakeholders for
  matters under the jurisdiction of multiple House committees; during
  the 87th Legislative Session, she was the principal staffer on
  H.B. 1935, known as Kevin's Law, which now provides for 30-day
  emergency refills of insulin and related equipment; and
         WHEREAS, Deeply committed to her community, Ms. Groff has
  given generously of her time and expertise in a number of leadership
  roles; she serves on the board of the Williamson County Children's
  Advocacy Center, and she has been chair of the City of Cedar Park
  Planning and Zoning Commission; moreover, she benefited the League
  of Women Voters-Austin Area as a member of the board and as
  development director; she has been a very active supporter of the
  Williamson County Democratic Party; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Groff previously worked in crisis customer
  service and as a corporate trainer and project manager; she
  graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Austin in
  2018; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed her
  wide-ranging duties as district director with exceptional skill and
  dedication, and as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her
  life, it is indeed a pleasure to acknowledge her outstanding
  contributions; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Sara-ann Groff for
  her service as district director in the office of State
  Representative John H. Bucy III and extend to her sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Groff as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
