R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Susan Reynolds Eveler of Clint on October 4, 2023, at the
  age of 94; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Dr. William J. and Laura Gates
  Reynolds, the former Susan Reynolds grew up with the companionship
  of five brothers, William, George, Charles, Alex, and Tommy, and
  three sisters, Alice, Virginia, and Mary Ann; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Eveler shared a rewarding marriage with her
  husband, Pete Vetter Eveler, that spanned 68 years before his
  passing; she took great pride in her children, Susan, Charles,
  George, Peter, Laura, Catherine, John, Mary, and Judy, as well as
  Paul and Michael Anthony, who preceded their mother in death; over
  the years, she had the pleasure of welcoming into her family 19
  grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and a
  great-great-grandchild; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Eveler devoted herself to her home and family
  throughout her life, and she was the matriarch of the Eveler family
  farm; sustained by her strong faith, she was a source of spiritual
  guidance and inspiration to her loved ones; and
         WHEREAS, Although Susan Eveler is greatly missed, she has
  left her family and friends with a wealth of wonderful memories, and
  she will forever hold a special place in their hearts; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Susan Reynolds Eveler and extend heartfelt sympathy to the
  members of her family: to her children, Susan, Charles and his wife,
  Lanette, George and his wife, Diane, Peter, Laura, Catherine, John
  and his wife, Jennifer, Mary and her husband, Gabriel, and Judy and
  her husband, Francis; to her 17 grandchildren, her 24
  great-grandchildren, and her great-great grandchild; to her
  sister, Mary Ann O'Beirne; and to her other relatives and many
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Susan
  Eveler.
