R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Dr. John Redman of Chambers Health has set an |
|
inspiring example by participating in nine medical mission trips to |
|
five different countries; and |
|
WHEREAS, A board-certified physician, Dr. Redman practices |
|
family and emergency medicine at Chambers Health, where he serves |
|
patients in the Anahuac area; beyond the scope of his work at the |
|
clinic, he has traveled to Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador, |
|
and Moldova to provide medical care to people in need; and |
|
WHEREAS, Last September, Dr. Redman was part of a team with |
|
Global Health Outreach, a short-term international missions |
|
program that visited Nicaragua for a week to perform a variety of |
|
health care services for underserved residents; the team treated |
|
approximately 900 patients of all ages, to whom they provided |
|
medical and dental care, medications, and even reading glasses at |
|
no cost; members of the group even ventured into the mountains to |
|
deliver medications and a walker to a patient who was unable to |
|
travel to their temporary clinic; and |
|
WHEREAS, By sharing his time and expertise to serve people |
|
across the globe, Dr. John Redman has demonstrated the strength of |
|
his commitment to helping others, and he is truly deserving of |
|
special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Dr. John Redman for |
|
taking part in overseas medical mission trips and extend to him |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success with his important work; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Dr. Redman as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
