R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Elizabeth G. Alford has distinguished herself in her |
|
responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State |
|
Representative Terri Leo-Wilson during the 88th Legislative |
|
Session; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Alford has provided |
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
WHEREAS, A sixth-generation Texan, Ms. Alford attended the |
|
Barbers Hill Independent School District in Mont Belvieu, and she |
|
is currently studying government and pre-law in the liberal arts |
|
honors program at The University of Texas at Austin; she has |
|
established an impressive record of leadership and civic |
|
engagement, including founding and serving as president of Girls |
|
Doing Good; and |
|
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Alford has performed her duties as a |
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Elizabeth |
|
G. Alford for her service as a legislative intern in the office of |
|
State Representative Terri Leo-Wilson and extend to her sincere |
|
best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Alford as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
