R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The second annual N'gee BBQ Cookoff hosted by |
|
|
Normangee FFA Alumni & Supporters is taking place on March 22 and |
|
|
23, 2024; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the International Barbeque Cookers |
|
|
Association, this much-anticipated event attracts talented chefs |
|
|
from across the state; these highly skilled pitmasters are putting |
|
|
their culinary abilities to the test as they vie to produce the |
|
|
tastiest entries in several different categories; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The competition raises funds to benefit Normangee |
|
|
FFA, a high school program with the goal of developing the next |
|
|
generation of agricultural leaders; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the |
|
|
N'gee BBQ Cookoff is sure to offer everyone in attendance the chance |
|
|
to enjoy good food and good times while supporting a worthwhile |
|
|
cause; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commemorate the 2024 N'gee |
|
|
BBQ Cookoff and extend to the organizers, participants, and |
|
|
attendees sincere best wishes for a fun and successful event. |
