R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Mary Sue Cole were
  deeply saddened by her death on December 8, 2022, at the age of 86;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mary Cole was born to Oscar and Ella Mae Dixon on
  September 16, 1936, in Smith County; a 1954 graduate of Troup High
  School, she spent the majority of her career as an ob-gyn nurse, and
  she volunteered at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler in retirement;
  she was also an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a
  dedicated congregant of First Baptist Church of Mixon; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Cole enjoyed a rewarding family life with her
  husband, Joe Cole, and their children, Becky, Scott, Jody, John,
  Jeffery, and Jay, and she delighted in her role as "Mimi" to her
  numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; in her leisure
  time, she took great pleasure in traveling and playing cards and 42;
  and
         WHEREAS, Although Mary Cole is deeply missed, those who held
  her dear will forever remember the warmth and joy she brought into
  their lives; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 3rd
  Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Mary Sue Cole
  and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn her passing; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Mary Cole.
