R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Regina Stock of Midland was crowned Mrs. America at
  the annual America National Pageant in Las Vegas on August 26, 2023;
  and
         WHEREAS, By taking home the title of Mrs. Texas in April,
  Regina Stock earned the opportunity to represent the Lone Star
  State at the national event, where she distinguished herself in a
  field of 49 contestants to be named Mrs. America; she will go on to
  compete at the Mrs. World Pageant in January 2024; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Stock is a native of Andrews and a graduate of
  Odessa High School; this talented young woman has achieved great
  success in pageant competitions, having previously claimed such
  titles as Miss Big Bend, Miss Permian Basin, and Miss Ector County;
  she currently resides in Midland with her husband, and the couple
  are blessed with a blended family that includes their four
  children; and
         WHEREAS, Together, Mrs. Stock and her husband have owned
  several businesses in the area, and she has recently set her sights
  on a new career as a paramedical tattoo artist, which will involve
  using her expertise to camouflage visible scar tissue and other
  skin differences; she has found new meaning in her work after being
  diagnosed with cancer, and she hopes to partner with local cancer
  centers to provide her services free of charge to cancer survivors
  who were left with scars from their treatments; and
         WHEREAS, Regina Stock has set an inspiring example through
  her perseverance, her initiative, and her commitment to helping
  others, and she may indeed take great pride in this outstanding
  achievement; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 3rd
  Called Session, hereby congratulate Regina Stock on winning the
  Mrs. America 2023 Pageant and extend to her sincere best wishes for
  the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Stock as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  Senate.
