R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The tragic passing of Noah Adam Rodriguez on
  August 21, 2022, at the age of 15, was a profound loss to all who
  loved him, and his family is committed to honoring Noah's memory
  through their work with the Forever 15 Project; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Austin on October 9, 2006, to Janel
  Rodriguez, Noah Rodriguez was raised by his mother and his adopted
  father, Brandon Dunn; he grew up with the companionship of three
  siblings, Braden, Jolene, and Alnora, and he was overjoyed to
  welcome a baby brother, Mordecai, into the family two weeks before
  his passing; and
         WHEREAS, Noah was enrolled as a sophomore at Moe and Gene
  Johnson High School in Buda, where he distinguished himself as a
  member of the football team; he had played football since the age of
  four, and he had been part of the Cougars football team at Chapa
  Middle School in Kyle that went undefeated two years in a row; in
  addition to being a talented athlete, he was an honor roll student
  at his school; and
         WHEREAS, After Noah lost his life to fentanyl poisoning, his
  family founded the Forever 15 Project in his memory; through their
  nonprofit, they have made it their mission to raise awareness of the
  extreme dangers associated with opioids and to provide information
  and resources to youth and to those who know someone who is at risk;
  and
         WHEREAS, The opioid epidemic continues to inflict a heavy
  toll on our communities, but by channeling their grief into
  meaningful action, the loved ones of Noah Rodriguez are helping to
  prevent other families from suffering the tragic loss that they
  have experienced; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
  Noah Adam Rodriguez and commend Noah's family and all those who are
  associated with the Forever 15 Project for their important work;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Noah
  Rodriguez.
