R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Richard Milburn Academy in Killeen is celebrating |
|
|
the 25th anniversary of its founding in 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The institution was established in 1998 with the |
|
|
mission to provide a high-quality education that fosters academic |
|
|
excellence, character development, and community engagement; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through the years, the dedicated educators, |
|
|
administrators, staff, and volunteers of Richard Milburn Academy |
|
|
have worked tirelessly to create a supportive and nurturing |
|
|
environment that instills in students a love for learning, that |
|
|
encourages critical thinking, and that promotes values such as |
|
|
respect, responsibility, and integrity; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, RMA's leadership has consistently demonstrated a |
|
|
visionary approach to education that emphasizes the use of |
|
|
innovative teaching methods and curriculum enhancements, with the |
|
|
goal of preparing students for success in an ever-evolving world; |
|
|
in its efforts to help students achieve their greatest potential, |
|
|
the school also benefits from its strong partnerships with parents, |
|
|
guardians, and the community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since its inception, Richard Milburn Academy has had |
|
|
a profound impact on the educational landscape in the local |
|
|
community and beyond, and its 25th anniversary provides a welcome |
|
|
opportunity to reflect on the school's growth and to celebrate the |
|
|
achievements of its students, faculty, alumni, and supporters; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby honor Richard Milburn |
|
|
Academy in Killeen on the occasion of its 25th anniversary and |
|
|
commend all those affiliated with the school for their commitment |
|
|
to enriching the lives of Texas students and fostering a brighter |
|
|
future for all; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Richard Milburn Academy as an expression of high |
|
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
