R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Martin Needham Lee of Bronte, who passed away on October 10,
  2023, at the age of 85; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Hurlin Dewitt Lee and Eula Verne Nixon,
  Martin Lee was born in Ballinger on June 22, 1938, and he grew up on
  his family's ranch in Coke and Runnels Counties with the
  companionship of his brother, Tom; he graduated from Bronte High
  School in 1956; and
         WHEREAS, A successful entrepreneur, Mr. Lee was involved in
  real estate sales and investments, oil and gas operations, general
  building construction, and land development over the course of his
  multifaceted career; in 1962, he established a ranch real estate
  firm, which is now known as Lee, Lee & Puckitt Associates, Inc.; his
  integrity and attention to detail were integral to the business's
  growth, and he became a prominent figure overseeing large ranch
  transactions; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Lee was deeply engaged in the Bronte community,
  serving on the city council for 8 years and as mayor for 18 years;
  moreover, he gave generously of his time and talents to numerous
  organizations, boards, and committees, including the Masons, the
  Bronte Lions Club, the Bronte Chamber of Commerce, and the Upper
  Colorado River Authority Board of Directors; he also served on the
  board of the Howard College Foundation for 26 years and received an
  honorary degree for his invaluable work; a man of strong faith, he
  was a dedicated congregant of Bronte Methodist Church; and
         WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Lee treasured his family; he
  shared a fulfilling marriage of 66 years with his high school
  sweetheart, Patricia, and he took great pride in his children,
  Lisa, Sheila, and Stephen; with the passing years, he had the
  pleasure of seeing his family grow to include nine grandchildren,
  Alexander, Sterling, Tiffany, Chase, Kelsey, Jarrett, Jordan,
  Jacy, and Katie, six great-grandchildren, Cambrey, Caitlin,
  Cameron, Colin, Archer, and Jenna, and two
  great-great-grandchildren, Bauer and Brecklyn; in his leisure
  time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family
  and friends at his vacation home in Ruidoso, New Mexico; and
         WHEREAS, Deeply dedicated to his loved ones and his
  community, Martin Lee earned the lasting respect and admiration of
  all who were privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Martin Needham Lee and extend sincere condolences to his family
  and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Martin Lee.
