R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Jennifer East has been honored as the 2023 Nurse |
|
Practitioner of the Year by the Southeast Texas Nurse |
|
Practitioners; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Nurse Practitioner of the Year Award is |
|
presented to an individual who demonstrates exceptional clinical |
|
skill, compassion for patients, and commitment to advancing the |
|
practice of nursing; Ms. East works as a nurse practitioner and |
|
endocrinology specialist at Riceland Healthcare in Nederland, |
|
where she has gone above and beyond to provide clients with the |
|
highest standards of care; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. East previously received the Nurse Practitioner |
|
of the Year honor in 2015 and was also presented with the 2017 |
|
Community Service Award; her many other accolades include being |
|
voted "Best of the Best" in her field by the Beaumont Enterprise in |
|
2021; in addition to her clinical responsibilities, she has held |
|
the offices of president, community affairs director, and treasurer |
|
of the Southeast Texas Nurse Practitioners and served as regional |
|
representative for the statewide Texas Nurse Practitioners |
|
organization in 2014 and 2015; and |
|
WHEREAS, Jennifer East has distinguished herself as an |
|
outstanding role model for her peers in the nursing community, and |
|
she may indeed take great pride in her receipt of this prestigious |
|
honor; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Jennifer East |
|
on her selection as the 2023 Nurse Practitioner of the Year by the |
|
Southeast Texas Nurse Practitioners and extend to her sincere best |
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. East as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
