R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The ninth annual Chupacabra BBQ Throwdown is taking |
|
|
place in Eagle Pass in December 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the Champions Barbecue Alliance as one |
|
|
of the organization's state championship cook-offs, this |
|
|
much-anticipated event attracts talented chefs from across Texas |
|
|
and beyond; these highly skilled pitmasters put their culinary |
|
|
abilities to the test as they vie to produce the tastiest entries in |
|
|
several different categories; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The event's grand champion will receive an |
|
|
invitation to the American Royal World Series of Barbecue contest |
|
|
as well as an opportunity to compete at the Jack Daniel's World |
|
|
Championship Invitational Barbecue competition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the |
|
|
Chupacabra BBQ Throwdown is sure to offer good food and good times |
|
|
to everyone in attendance; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commemorate the 2023 |
|
|
Chupacabra BBQ Throwdown and extend to the organizers, contestants, |
|
|
and attendees sincere best wishes for a fun and successful event. |
