R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Montgomery County Farm Bureau received the 2023 |
|
|
Golden Buckle Award from the Texas Farm Bureau at the |
|
|
organization's 90th Annual Meeting in Frisco; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, One of the TFB's highest honors, the Golden Buckle |
|
|
Award recognizes county bureaus that have demonstrated exceptional |
|
|
agricultural promotion, membership growth, and involvement with |
|
|
the parent organization; the award comes with a $10,000 prize and a |
|
|
custom-made belt buckle for each county director; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Montgomery County Farm Bureau hosted community |
|
|
activities and educational events throughout the year, and it |
|
|
launched the Youth Discussion Meet and the Public Speaking Contest |
|
|
to help young people in the area develop communication skills and |
|
|
knowledge related to agriculture; the organization's members have |
|
|
also supported agriculture-friendly legislation and met with state |
|
|
and national politicians to discuss issues facing farmers and |
|
|
ranchers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, True to its mission, the Montgomery County Farm |
|
|
Bureau has made a lasting and positive difference in its community, |
|
|
and it is indeed deserving of this most recent honor; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate the |
|
|
Montgomery County Farm Bureau on receiving the 2023 Golden Buckle |
|
|
Award from the Texas Farm Bureau and extend to all those associated |
|
|
with the organization sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the Montgomery County Farm Bureau as an expression of |
|
|
high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
