R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the death |
|
of Rodrigo Garza Ramon Sr. of Robstown on August 6, 2022, at the age |
|
of 86; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Francisco Ramon and Felicidad Garza, |
|
Rodrigo Ramon was born on March 13, 1936, in Escobas, and he grew up |
|
with five siblings, Frances, Manuel, Heriberto, Teodoro, and |
|
Catarina; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Ramon worked as a truck driver for Wilbur-Ellis |
|
until his retirement; engaged in his community, he was a member of |
|
St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Robstown Community Center; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Ramon enjoyed a rewarding family life with his |
|
wife, Susana, who preceded him in death; the couple were blessed |
|
with four children, Lorraine, Rodrigo, Cathy, and Asuzena, and with |
|
the passing years, Mr. Ramon had the pleasure of seeing his family |
|
grow to include eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this esteemed |
|
man's love and friendship will always remember him with great |
|
admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |
|
Rodrigo Garza Ramon Sr. and extend heartfelt sympathy to the |
|
members of his family: to his children, Lorraine Ramon, Rodrigo |
|
Ramon Jr. and his wife, Brenda, Cathy Alaniz and her husband, Ruben, |
|
and Asuzena Ramirez and her husband, Guadalupe; to his sister, |
|
Frances Ramon; to his sister-in-law, Delia Ramon; to his |
|
grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to his many other |
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rodrigo |
|
Ramon. |
