AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the construction, maintenance, rehabilitation, and |
|
|
removal of dams by the Lower Brushy Creek Water Control and |
|
|
Improvement District. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 8A, Chapter 341, Acts of the 55th |
|
|
Legislature, Regular Session, 1957, is amended to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 8A. The district [Upper Brushy Creek Water Control and |
|
|
Improvement District] is not required to comply with municipal |
|
|
regulations regarding the construction, maintenance, |
|
|
rehabilitation, or removal of dams. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
